Privacy
Text, sound and files stay on this device. There are no accounts, no cookies and no trackers.
Updated 13 October 2026.
What leaves your device
Nothing you type, record or open. Translation, audio decoding, WAV files and images are made inside this browser tab. Your browser downloads the site's own files from this domain; those requests carry no text and no audio, and nothing is loaded from other hosts.
Share puts the message in the link after #. Browsers never send that part to a server, so only the people you give the link to see it.
What is stored on this device
dah.prefs(localStorage): sound settings: speed, Farnsworth, tone, wave shape and volume.dah.scheme(localStorage): light or dark theme, written only after you press the switch.- An offline copy of the site's pages and files in the browser cache, so the tools work without a connection.
Nothing else. Clearing this site's data in the browser settings removes all of it.
Cookies
None. The site sets no cookies and reads none.
Visit statistics
There is no analytics script. The host, Cloudflare, counts requests in its server logs and shows the site owner aggregated totals: requests, visitors, countries. No script, no cookie, no profile of you. Like any host, Cloudflare handles your IP address to deliver the pages.
Microphone and camera
The microphone turns on only when you press Use microphone on the audio translator and stops when you leave the tab. The sound is decoded in the tab and not recorded. The flashlight asks for camera permission because browsers switch the torch through the camera; no picture is taken or shown.
How to check that nothing leaves your device
Open the developer tools (F12, or Cmd+Option+I on a Mac), go to the Network tab and use any tool: translate, play, decode a file. After the page has loaded, no new requests appear. Then set the Network tab to Offline or turn on airplane mode and reload: the tools keep working.
